Welcome to the Popt journey

A little over a year ago, our team started work on Popt, a mobile notes app that's built from the ground up for seamlessly connecting ideas, contacts, places and time.

The core idea is simple: type naturally, and Popt will make unobstrusive suggestions as you go. Our guiding design principle? You already know how to use it.

We're far from done, but the time has come to put Popt in your hands and ask for your help.

By the time we officially release Popt in mid-2025, it will have substantially changed, shaped by your feedback.

How to join the beta?

The beta is by invitation only at this stage. You can subscribe here and we'll let you know as soon as we start onboarding more users.

Which devices does Popt support?

The current beta is for iOS only, but the app is built with cross-platform technology that also works on Android. As a small team doing its best to deliver a polished experience, we need to focus on a single platform first.

What kind of feedback are we looking for?

Anything goes! That said, we will of course prioritise feedback that fits into our original vision. Our dream notes app is accessible, 100% private, playful, and above all useful.

In this early beta, quite a few essential features aren't implemented yet. What are deal breakers for you? What crazy idea do you think would fit in perfectly? And what just doesn't work? We're all ears!

Done

  • Detect and link contacts as you type
  • Open contact card in Popt

Considered

  • Quickly create a contact (type a name and a phone number, and Popt will suggest to create a contact)

🌍 Places

Done

  • Detect and link places as you type
  • View map from Place’s page

Considered

  • Geographical search (search for a country or state, and Popt will retrieve notes linking to any location in that country or state)
  • Add specific addresses as places
  • Add current location to notes
